Lunch

  • Friday lunch, even week: Spicy Corn Soup

Every other Friday I make a spicy corn soup with all of my favorite spices: chili, garlic, curry! Yum! Served with the bread I make before opening. The soup is always vegan so almost everybody can eat it!

  • Thursday lunch, even week: Pea soup with Pancakes

On every other Thursday I make traditional pea soup and vegan pancakes, the latter after Jens Lekman's recipe. I add some Västervik mustard to make it extra yum. Vegan.

  • Wednesday lunch, odd week: Carrot Soup

On every other Friday I make a ginger-spiced carrot soup after a recipe I got from my first couch surfer, Siri. Served with soyghurt and coriander as well as the bread I made before opening. Vegan.

  • Thursday lunch, odd week: Lentil Soup

Every other Thursday I make a lentil soup after a recipe from (probably) the first ever Swedish vegan cookbook from the nineties. It has a vegan activist with a flag and everything on the cover. It's delicious, served with the bread I make before opening.

Sandwiches

  • Hummus Sandwich

I took a class in middle eastern studies once. There I met a guy who told me how to make a great hummus. I put it on a sandwich with some tomatoes, salt and peppar. Yum. Vegan.

  • Mozzarella Sandwich

Classic mozzarella sandwich with tomatoes, basil, butter and salt. Vegetarian.

  • Greve Sandwich

My favorite sandwich! Butter, swiss cheese (greve) and a bit of lettuce. Keep it simple, stupid. Vegetarian.

Sweets

  • Cherry pie to die for

We use to watch Twin Peaks and I made a Twin Peaks cherry pie. I still do. Vegetarian.

  • Swedish sticky cake with a spoonful of sorbet.

After Karolina Tegelaar's recipe with a spoonful of sorbet from Råda Gelato. Vegan.

  • Chocolate ball.

The secret to a good Swedish chocolate ball is to make it with damn good coffee! Vegan.

  • Cookie with jam.

The Swedish classic Hallongrotta with another type of jam, which makes it a Drottninggrotta. Yum. Vegan.

  • Seinfeld Special.

This is a secret. What can it be? A sweet from Seinfeld... You've got A LOT to guess from... Vegetarian.

Ice cream

  • Ice cream with milk

I normally have two kinds of ice cream made with milk from Råda Gelato. Vegetarian.

  • Sorbet.

I normally have two kinds of vegan ice cream from Råda Gelato. Vegan.
